About Me
Healthy life begins with a healthy heart
Hi, I’m Allison Pavone, welcome t0 Living My Best Life Coaching. I am here to help you and your families with better nutrition, mindful eating, reading labels and really looking into your family’s lifestyle and how I can help you all evolve into the BEST VERSIONS OF YOU!
I wasn’t always as health conscious as I am today. I grew up playing sports, but I was the kid who hated to run the mile during those stupid PE tests and dreaded spring training sessions for high school soccer. I wasn’t the unhealthiest person, but I was someone who never looked at food as fuel or nourishment. I was the person who worked out because I wanted to eat whatever I wanted.
Looking back, I would say my entire life has been a journey in the pursuit of health. I believe this is probably true for all of us. The journey for some can be a struggle to survive and for others a drive to thrive. I was stuck in survival mode for a long time, and now I’m glad to say I’m thriving. But I’ll be the first to admit it’s been a work in progress. The struggles and success with my own health have been an evolution.
After having my third child at the age of 36, I made a decision to be better for myself and my family. Not just be in survival mode, but actually sore in my 40’s and get better with age. WHY? Because I want to grow old without being on medication, because disease scares me and because I don’t want to be a burden on my children or my spouse. I started to really focus on my food and see how far I could take my nutrition. I started to listen to functional medicine doctors and really became interested in the human body and how it dawned on me that food is medicine, and I could live a life of longevity and have amazing energy everyday with what I placed in my body. In 2017, I became a Holistic Health Coach and started to help many others.
In 2019, I opened a gym called Burn Boot Camp, became a certified trainer while also coaching others, but it was a grind and while I was helping others, I was also taking a back seat to my own health. We owned the gym for almost 4 years and right before we sold in May of 2023, I started to have some fatigue, dizziness and headaches. When you tune into your body all the time like I do, I knew something was off. In the spring of 2023, I went for blood work through a Functional Medicine doctor, and it turned out I had some adrenal fatigue low cortisol. I was struggling to lose a pound and had severe energy dips. Overtime, I am learning to take back my personal power and to find my ideal health. Since then, I have been really focusing on sleep, nutrition and supplements to heal the adrenals and I am working on getting my cortisol balanced in my body. One thing I have learned from the experience with my adrenal issues and hormones is that even if you are eating right and exercising that doesn’t mean your health is good. There are so many parts to creating a healthier lifestyle. One is slowing down and for me this is really hard. Having a type A personality as well as always challenging myself in business and with myself, slowing down is not one of my stronger suits. While I coached this and knew this all along my lifestyle of “ON THE GO” turned my health into a struggle of feeling good.
“Healthy is a way of being, not just doing,”
This journey has been hard at times, inspiring at times, and above all educational when it comes to learning about what my body needs.
As a Holistic Health Coach, I evaluate my client’s health and lifestyle so we can take a deeper look at their health to figure out what’s holding them back from living their fullest life with their ideal health and weight. The biggest lesson I teach my clients is…
“Your health is a journey. It will change direction as you learn more and you will evolve with it, so don’t get frustrated, just hold space for patience and the potential for change.”
I am on a mission to help as many families as possible here in the Grand Strand. Childhood obesity is on the rise and the food products in this world we live in are only getting worse. Sadly, Cancer, diabetes, heart disease, dementia, autoimmune disorders, and ADHD are on the rise. Parents are on the go; lifestyles are a hustle and we have put our health on the back burner.
But I have to say that although I have adopted a more holistic version of a healthy lifestyle, and I teach others to do the same, it still hasn’t been peaches ‘n cream all of the time.
But despite its challenges you can live a healthy life – the one you’ve always dreamed of; filled with freedom and feeling like your best self.
I’d love to chat more and see how I can support and empower you and your family to become your own Health Boss!
